Philomath + the Toilet Brushes

Get down to the Royal Oak as the National Live Music Awards hand out gongs and we hand out tunes—performed live, mind you—from our 2020 festival artists.

Philomath

Risk-taking ephemeral improv from an eclectic crew of artists.

The Toilet Brushes

Pan-Tasmanian ad hoc improv and house band for King Ubu at Mona Foma 2020. Expect ditties galore performed on kazoos, slide whistles, trombones, Japanese drums and (you guessed it) toilet brushes, inspired by the work of French playwright / ‘pataphysian’ (google it) Alfred Jarry. Catch them here at the Royal Oak before they hit the Gorge in January.

Wednesday 4 December, 6–10pm
Royal Oak Hotel, Brisbane Street
